Summary of Privacy StatementThis policy covers how NextGoalWins.ie treats Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) that is collected, stored and processed through the service. NextGoalWins.ie is a soccer club engagement service that allows subscribers to register in order to read club updates, receive club notifications and interact with the club through the Next Goal Wins smartphone app. Subscribers must sign up using an email address; this allows the subscriber to verify their account and receive service updates, as required. The subscriber must provide their name during the signup process and this is used for account queries, interacting with the club (e.g., fantasy football league table), and password reset tasks. At all times the subscriber is in control of how their personal data is processed, and they can quickly unsubscribe from the service in a few easy ways. This privacy statement sets out how NextGoalWins.ie and Pin Point Alerts Ltd (the company that owns the service and is the Data Controller and Data Processor) processes subscriber personal data, secures this personal data, and the various company policies that adheres to General Data Protection Regulation. Soccer clubs can create an account on this website to manage the club profile. The club secretary, chairperson or other named role should create this account. However, no further personal data is required from this person beyond Name and Email address. Any payment information is collected offsite by Stripe. To get the best out of Next Goal Wins, clubs can add player lists from their teams. Clubs must accept additional privacy terms in order to add players to Next Goal Wins, and they must acknowledge that a suitable social media / web policy is used by the club. Only players within the club that consent to the club's social media / web policy should be added to Next Goal Wins. The "player name" is the only Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) that is required. |
The following Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) is gathered from registered users (“subscribers”):
1. Name
NextGoalWins.ie uses your name for any account queries, as well as display on fantasy football, last man standing or other in-game standings.
2. Email Address
NextGoalWins.ie uses your email address for two core reasons; (i) the email acts as the username to log into the service and (ii) the email address is used to reset your account password, if required. The email address is a unique entity in the NextGoalWins.ie database. In extremely rare cases your email address is used to send out service updates, policy changes and changes to the NextGoalWins.ie terms and conditions if further consent is ever required.
3. Password
You need to authenticate with NextGoalWins.ie to access your account. Passwords are created at registration and they are salted/hashed on the NextGoalWins.ie server – subscriber user account passwords are never stored in plain text. For good password management, it is recommended to use unique passwords for each web service you access and NextGoalWins.ie is no different.
4. IP address
An Internet protocol (“IP”) address is the unique number assigned to your Internet communicator device or Internet Service Provider (“ISP”). While not traced to an individual, NextGoalWins.ie may track IP addresses in certain situations for system administration, site tracking, and most importantly to prevent our servers from being abused or targeted for malicious intent.
Summary of how we use the information we gather:
We use the personal information (PII) to allow you to manage your unique NextGoalWins.ie account and experience. We require your contact details (email address) to correctly send you email communications, and for you to create and access your account. Your password is also used to access your NextGoalWins.ie account. In the case of poor behaviour on the Next Goal Wins website/app (e.g., web scraping) we may use your IP Address to identify any potential threats or insulting behaviour and to block it from accessing NextGoalWins.ie.
The people that are given access to your personal information:
NextGoalWins.ie (Pin Point Alerts Ltd) is the sole owner of the NextGoalWins.ie user database. We will solely use your PII details for the purposes of managing your account experience, as set out above. At no time is the NextGoalWins.ie subscriber database made available to external 3rd parties, nor is it foreseen to engage with external companies that can access the subscriber database at any time. If this policy changes then all subscribers will be notified by email. If NextGoalWins.ie engages 3rd party agencies for any IT development work then it will take place on a cloned version of NextGoalWins.ie with an empty subscriber database.
The security measures we have in place to protect your personal information:
We have put in place reasonable and appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help safeguard information we collect through the Next Goal Wins website and smartphone app. However, you should know that no company or web service, including NextGoalWins.ie (Pin Point Alerts Ltd), can fully eliminate security risks associated with Personally Identifiable Information (PII). To help protect yourself, please use a strong password, do not use the same passwords to access your NextGoalWins.ie accounts that you use with other accounts or services, and protect your user name (email address) and passwords to help prevent others from accessing your accounts and services.
Deleting/Closing your Account to remove all personal data:
A subscriber can choose to delete their account at any time and they will be instantly removed from the live Next Goal Wins database. Accounts that are deleted are done so in a self-service manner by the subscriber on the NextGoalWins.ie website or smartphone app and this is an irreversible step. Account details cannot be recovered once an account deletion is triggered. However, PII we collect will be contained in secure encrypted backups for a maximum of 14 days after a subscriber has unsubscribed from the system. The 14-day period is part of Pin Point Alerts Ltd’s corporate backup strategy and is within a reasonable time to remove the subscriber. Accidental account deletions cannot be recovered from backups. The sole purpose of backups is to restore the complete service from a backup, if necessary.
What Choices Do We Give You and How Can You View, Correct or Review Your Personal Information?
i. Subscribers can log onto the Next Goal Wins smartphone app to manage or delete your account
NextGoalWins.ie allows subscribers to login and manage their account with the username (email address) and password they created during the registration process. After a subscriber logs into the NextGoalWins.ie app they can use the Account Manage menu section to navigate to the Account Close/Delete item. Tapping into this menu item will ask for confirmation before the account is instantly deleted.
ii. Club administrators that wish to delete their club profile can do so by logging into the NextGoalWins.ie website and clicking/tapping over the "Manage Club" menu item.
iii. Subject Access Requests
NextGoalWins.ie is owned and operated by Pin Point Alerts Ltd, which operates several services apart from Next Goal Wins. To make Subject Access Requests (SAR) easier, subscribers can request a copy of the data that NextGoalWins.ie / Pin Point Alerts stores on them by using the Contact option on this website.
Our use of cookies:
The NextGoalWins.ie website makes use of cookies which are small digital files that are stored in your web browser that enable us to track your return visits to our website. We use cookies to ensure an improved user experience and to provide feedback on how the service is used. The purpose of cookies on www.NextGoalWins.ie is also used to speed up the load time for web pages on subsequent visits to the website. Your browser settings may allow you to block these cookies, which is fine and the service will continue to operate, but we recommend you have them enabled to help us personalise your experience of the NextGoalWins.ie website and ensure a smooth user experience. There is a corporate policy of only using first party cookies, so no popup cookie consent is required for the Next Goal Wins website.
Marketing & Reviews:
Next Goal Wins may prompt logged in app subscribers to leave a review on their app store (Apple App Store or Google Play), depending on their device. This request is optional and the subscriber can decide to ignore it. Otherwise, there are no 3rd party marketing services used to offer the Next Goal Wins service.
Where does the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) database and backups reside?
All aspects of NextGoalWins.ie including databases and websites are hosted within the European Union. At no stage is PII transferred to a 3rd country outside of the European Union. Backups are fully encrypted and stored securely in Ireland for a maximum period of 14 days before self-deleting. Our web hosts include Blacknight (data centers in Carlow & Dublin) and Amazon Web Services (Dublin data region).
Questions and Complaints
If you believe NextGoalWins.ie maintains your personal data (PII) incorrectly then you may direct any inquiries or complaints concerning our Data Protection and GDPR compliance to privacy.nextgoalwins@pinpointalerts.com. We will respond within a maximum of 3 working days. If you want us to forcibly remove you from the NextGoalWins.ie system (i.e. you are not able to use the NextGoalWins.ie Close/Delete feature listed above) then it will take up to 7 working days. If we fail to respond within that time, or if our response does not address your concern, then please contact Pin Point Alerts Ltd directly at 01 2544363. It may be a case that your email did not arrive, and we want to ensure we deal with your inquiry as soon as possible.
How We May Update Our Privacy Policy
From time to time, we may collect and use Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in ways not previously disclosed in our Privacy Policy. If our information practices ever change where we do not require new user consent then we will simply post any adjustments to our policy on this website and change the “Last Updated” date above. Unless additional notice or further consent is explicitly required by applicable laws, this will serve as your notification of these changes. You will not be “auto-consented” into any new parts of NextGoalWins.ie that require additional PII.
